PSG are favourites to win the Champions League- Ivan Rakitic

Former Barcelona and Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic has backed Paris Saint German( PSG ) to beat Inter Milan in Saturday’s  Champions League final.

Rakitic, who won the Champions League trophy with the Catalan giants in 22-5  reckons the the Ligue I giants phenomenal season under Spanish tactician Luis Enrique will spur them to their first title.

The 37-year-old made this revelation to 3Sports via La Liga media.

“For Luis Enrique at PSG, I think that they’ve grown incredibly and with the matches they’ve played recently, they are clear favorites to win the title. Alrhough  in a final, it is very difficult to talk about a favorite because Inter has done a very good job to be there too.”

“It’s probably going to be a very tough match. They are going to fight very hard. We are going to enjoy a great match and may the best team win”, Rakitic added.

He believes that Inter’s impressive display against Barcelona demonstrates their capabilities, and they will undoubtedly learn from their previous final loss to Manchester City.

“PSG perhaps seem a little bit stronger now but Inter showed what they are capable of against Barca and I’m sure they learned from that final they lost a few years ago against Manchester City.”

This experience will likely drive Inter to fight hard and make a strong impression in the final.

For PSG, a Champions League victory would complete a historic treble, having already won the league and league cup.

Luis Enrique would be eager to replicate his treble success with FC Barcelona in 2015, becoming the second manager to achieve this feat with two different clubs, following in the footsteps of Pep Guardiola.

On the other hand, Inter Milan is looking to turn their disappointing campaign around.

After losing both the league and league cup, they have a chance to salvage their season with a Champions League win.

A victory would also mark a significant milestone, as it would be the first Italian team to win the Champions League since Inter themselves won it in 2010.

The final promises to be an unforgettable encounter, with both teams driven to succeed.

The game will take place on Saturday night at the Allianz Arena Stadium in Munich, Germany.
