Mahama, Akufo-Addo to commence transition process December 11

In his victory speech, delivered shortly after the Electoral Commission declared him president-elect, Mahama emphasized the need for a unified approach to the transition, stressing that cooperation will be key in driving the country’s progress forward.

“I have also just received a call from His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo. He graciously extended his congratulations to me, and we had the opportunity to discuss matters related to the joint transition team.

“We have agreed on an early inauguration of the joint transition team as early as Wednesday, 11th December,” Mahama announced.
