Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club head coach Aboubakar Ouattara says Kotoko deserves all the credit after beating his team for its latest win in the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko beat Hearts 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium via a late Albert Amoah strike in the 95th minute to register Kotoko’s fourth straight win over top rivals Hearts.
“If they (Kotoko) didn’t deserve it-the win- what was the result? Who won? If somebody wins, give them the credit. We lost no problem it’s part of the game. We lost three points.”
Amoah’s goal came after the in-from striker capitalized on a mix up between Hearts goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and defender Kelvin Osei Asibey to gain possession and roll the ball into the net sending Kotoko head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum into a wild celebration.
After the game, Dr. Ogum stated that his celebration was pre-determined. (Click highlighted text to read full story) Scroll down to watch video of Ouattara crediting Kotoko for the win from 18:00 mark)
