The Ghana Education Service (GES) has dismissed Mr. Charles Akwasi Aidoo, Assistant Headmaster (Academic) of KNUST Senior High School, after a viral video surfaced showing him in a compromising situation with a female student.
In a statement released on Monday, September 29, GES said it had taken “immediate steps” following the circulation of the video on social media, stressing that it treats the matter with the “utmost seriousness.”
According to the statement signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES, Mr. Aidoo has been relieved of his post and barred from entering the school while investigations continue.
The Service assured parents and the public that due process will be followed and that disciplinary measures will be enforced in line with the GES code of conduct.
“GES remains committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and child protection in all our schools. We strongly condemn any acts that compromise the safety, dignity, and well-being of students,” the statement read.
The Service reaffirmed its dedication to safeguarding learners nationwide and urged the public to remain confident in its commitment to student welfare.
