The Danish Ambassador to Ghana, Jakob Linulf, has praised Margins ID Group for its pivotal role in advancing Ghana’s digital identity agenda and national development.
Speaking at a stakeholder engagement at the company’s state-of-the-art card manufacturing facility, Intelligent Card Production Systems (ICPS), in Accra on Thursday, September 25, 2025, Ambassador Linulf described the Ghana Card project as a landmark achievement.
“The Ghana Card is a major achievement, and you should be proud of the contribution you are making to Ghana’s development,” he said.
He lauded Margins as a trailblazer in the global digital identity space, noting that the company operates “in a different league” compared to many African ID providers. According to him, Margins’ expertise has not only positioned Ghana as a leader but is also inspiring countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo and The Gambia to replicate its model in building robust national identity systems.
“Margins ID Group is famous in Denmark, and you should take great pride in your achievements,” he added. “You have our support, and I am very impressed with what I see here.”
The Ambassador was accompanied on the factory tour by Jørgen Østergård Bollesen, Head of Trade, and Linda Kafui Abbah-Foli, Commercial Advisor at the Danish Embassy in Accra.
Margins ID Group CEO, Moses Kwesi Baiden Jr., reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships and advancing Africa’s digital identity drive.
He emphasized that Margins would continue leveraging innovation and strategic collaborations to cement Ghana’s role as a continental model.
“The Danish Government should be commended for its contribution to this project. Together, we will innovate, expand, and deliver secure identification solutions that meet the evolving needs of Africa and beyond,” Mr. Baiden said.
He also highlighted the broader diplomatic impact of the collaboration, noting how Margins’ support for Danish Constitution Day and other Embassy initiatives reflects the cultural and bilateral benefits of technological partnerships.
From a modest $100 investment three decades ago, Margins ID Group has grown into a technological powerhouse and a symbol of international cooperation in Africa’s digital transformation. Denmark has been a strategic partner since 1999, with its support helping establish Ghana as a continental leader in digital identity. Today, the Ghana Card is widely recognized as a model across Africa.
