Accra Hearts of Oak claimed consecutive Premier League victories following a hard-fought 1–0 win against Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday evening.
The result temporarily propels the Phobians to the top of the league table with seven points from three matches, one ahead of their closest rivals.
The match’s decisive moment came in the 17th minute when Enock Asubonteng fired a precise shot past the visiting goalkeeper. His strike proved sufficient to separate the sides in a game where Hearts dominated possession but were periodically tested defensively.
Fueled by their passionate supporters, Hearts controlled large portions of the midfield, patiently circulating the ball and setting the game’s tempo. Despite their dominance, they struggled to convert possession into clear opportunities, managing just three shots on target over the full 90 minutes.
With this win, Hearts of Oak ascend to the summit of the Premier League, at least temporarily, and will aim to continue their run when they face Bechem United next. Eleven Wonders, still seeking their first victory of the season, will look to bounce back against Young Apostles next weekend.
