Work has resumed on the Tema-Aflao highway, following assurances from the Ministry of Roads and Highways to BHM Construction Company Limited that funding will be reinstated.
The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, during a recent road inspection tour, called on contractors, including BHM Construction Company, to return to project sites, assuring them of the government’s commitment to restoring funds for the road works halted under the Debt Exchange Program (DDEP).

In response to the Minister’s directive, BHM Construction has returned to the site and resumed work on the highway.

Briefing the press on Monday, April 7, Country Managing Director for BHM Ghana, Adrian Wilson, expressed optimism about the future of the project, citing the government’s renewed commitment.
“As we resume the Tema-Aflao Interchange Programme project, we have been delighted by the recent reassurances over the year by the government with regards to the agreement for funding the bill on the road to start construction. On that, we have decided to start the work again,” he stated.
